COVID-19 Travel Information

As we all continue to live with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bahamian Government continues to make great efforts to keep the country open for the 2021/2022 season. We here at Andros South Lodge will continue to keep you updated as to the most current requirements, but please be advised it is the guest’s responsibility to ensure the travel protocols are being followed. The information listed on this page is what we understand to be the current requirements for traveling to & from The Bahamas. Please know that these requirements change and evolve frequently.  Be sure to read carefully & thoroughly.

We have also included links to other relevant sites and our own ‘in-house’ documentation.

For all Travellers Updated as of March 5th, 2022. Day 5 testing has been suspended.

Entry Into The Bahamas: Effective December 27, 2021

For FULLY-vaccinated Travelers ONLY:(Currently, the Bahamas only accepts vaccines from Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna & AstraZeneca.)

Step One: You must obtain a negative COVID-19 test (Rapid antigen OR RT PCR test) within Three (3) days of your travel date. Note: The day you test is considered Day ZERO.

Step Two: As soon as possible, apply for your Bahamian travel visa. You can do that HERE. PLEASE NOTE, You can create your traveler profile at any time, but you will not be able to ‘Add a Trip’ until you receive your negative results. You will need to provide your negative COVID-19 test along with proof of vaccination (CDC or government-issued vaccine card). The vaccination card must also show proof of having completed the two-week immunity period. Be sure to have your BHTV login information & password with you during your travels.

While filling out the BHTV, you will need the address for Andros South: 1 Rahming Way, Kemps Bay, South Andros, as well as your vaccine lot/batch numbers (found on your vaccine card) & the name/address of where you were vaccinated.

For NON-vaccinated travelers, or those partially vaccinated ONLY:

Step One: You must obtain a negative COVID-19 test (RT PCR ONLY) within Three (3) days of your travel date.

Be sure to have your BHTV login information & password with you during your travels. While filling out the BHTV, you will need the address for Andros South: 1 Rahming Way, Kemps Bay, South Andros.

For all travelers:  Effective March 7th, 2022: Day 5 Testing has been suspended.

When applying for your Bahamian travel visa, please ensure that your name matches exactly as it appears on your passport. The cost of your travel visa is dependent upon the length of your stay & your vaccination status. It is required to opt-in for mandatory COVID-19 health insurance. This insurance will cover you for the duration of your trip to the Bahamas & the cost is included in the travel visa application fee.

(Be sure to print out TWO COPIES of the following: the accepted Bahamian travel visa, your proof of vaccination (if applicable), as well as a copy of your negative COVID-19 test, so that you may present this to officials throughout your travels).

If you find you’re having troubles obtaining your travel visa, please contact the Compliance Team: +1 (242) 502-0829 or healthvisa@bahamas.com

Here are two options for purchasing an RT-PCR test if you are not able to obtain one locally.
